I had come towards the end of my weeklong trip in Maui and decided to take one last stroll out and see what I could find. After about 45 minutes of driving I came up to the Black Sand Beaches. I had read about them and definitely wanted to visit this destination since it was a very unique place to see. I got out and just decided to walk around and not really set out to take a photograph but to explore the beach and just enjoy the last few hours of my time in Maui. It truly is a beautiful and unique place to see and experience. So after some time of course my eye started catching things that I knew would look great in a photograph, I mean its Maui of all places. I decided to focus on a formation of rocks that I had seen and of course in typical Maui fashion it started to rain. I decided to wait it out for a little bit but I knew I would have to be heading to the airport shortly, so finally the rain had stopped for a short time and decided to take advantage of the short window of time I had to capture the shot I wanted. I let the long exposures roll and let the camera work its magic to give you the image you see before you. It just goes to show that even when you think you are done working, you’ve only just started.
